Faye L. Leese, 76, of Needmore, died Monday August 4, 2014 at her home.
Born October 2, 1937 at Warfordsburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank Ross and Goldie Swope Mellott, Sr.
She was a graduate of the former Green Hill High School. She married her husband Donald C. Leese on June 7, 1955. Faye assisted her husband in the operation of the family dairy farm, Mel-Lee Farms of Needmore.
She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren of Needmore, where she had served as a deaconess. Faye enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She provided loving child care for her grandchildren. Faye deeply appreciated her church family.
Surviving family include a son, Rodney A. Leese and two daughters, Kay E. & husband Mark Bradshaw and Karen L. & husband Chris Palmer all of Needmore. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving a foster brother, Richard Wilson of Needmore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald who died September 30, 2001 and a brother, Frank Ross Mellott, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 8, 2014 at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren with Reverend Roger Truax and Pastor Mac Miller officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Viewing 2 to 9 PM Thursday at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
