Faye Bard

Faye E. Bard, 80, of Greencastle, PA passed away Friday, November 20th, 2015 at Pinnacle Health Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Faye was born in McConnellsburg, PA on February 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Thesta A. (Carbaugh) and Harry J. McQuade.  She was the widow of Walter R. Bard, Jr. whom she married on May 10, 1952 and he passed away on March 22, 1998. She was a member of the Cito United Methodist Church in McConnellsburg, PA, was a  seamstress at Stanley Corp. in Chambersburg, PA for many years, worked at Tracy Fashion in Chambersburg, PA and retired from the Mercersburg Sewing Factory.  Faye enjoyed spending time with family and being a caregiver to others. Mrs. Bard is survived by sons Dennis L. (husband of Vicki) Bard, Douglas L. (husband of Lori) Bard both of Greencastle, PA, aunt Phoebe Helman of Hagerstown, MD, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by daughter Vickie L. Seville, brothers Daniel H. "Bud" McQuade, Harry B. "Butch" McQuade, great granddaughter Requel M. Banks and great grandson Dustin S. Fisher. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 24th, 2015  with Pastor Robert French II officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 23rd, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
