Esta C. Pittman

Esta C. Pittman, 89, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Esta was born in Needmore, PA on May 10, 1927, the daughter of the late Luella M. (Hann) and John F. Mellott.  She was the widow of Robert "Buck"  Pittman whom she married on February 6, 1946 and he passed away on June 10, 2014. Mrs. Pittman was of the Protestant faith, was a waitress for many years at the Valley Treat, the Pleasant Valley Restaurant, Baker's Diner and also was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping in Chambersburg, PA. Esta is survived by son Mark A. Pittman of McConnellsburg, PA, daughters Jane E. Kies, Cathy J. Cline both of McConnellsburg, PA, brothers Preston, Frank and Stanley Mellott all of McConnellsburg, PA, Chalmer Mellott of Hustontown, PA, sister Dollie Keith of Chambersburg, PA, grandchildren William P. Kies, II of Hustontown, PA, Robert P. Kies of McConnellsburg, PA, Michael B. Cline of Crystal Springs, PA, Nicole D.  Hose of Falling Waters, WV, Erin A. Cline of McConnellsburg, PA, Abby J. Mowen of Upton, PA, six step-grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Goldie Henry, brothers Lee and James Mellott. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 20th, 2017  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19th, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
