Elizabeth M. "Susie" Mellott

Elizabeth M. "Susie" Mellott, 84, of Needmore, PA passed away Thursday, March 10th, 2022 at Chambers Pointe Healthcare Center, Chambersburg, PA. Susie was born in Hustontown, PA on February 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Cloran C. (DeShong) and Samuel Gardner Ranck.  She was the wife of Ronald Roy Mellott, whom she married on June 23, 1958. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore, PA.  Susie enjoyed gardening, going to Go-Kart races and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons Ronald L. (husband of Pixie) Mellott, of Needmore, PA, Eric R. (husband of Mendy) Mellott, of Needmore, PA, sisters Dorothy (wife of Rod) Kelly, of Hustontown, PA, Mary Ann (wife of Mike) Hall, of Hustontown, PA and brother Samuel  G. Ranck ll (companion Cathy Gordon), of Hustontown, PA.  She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kele Jo Mellott, Preston Carbaugh, Brandi Carbaugh, Erika Fix, Nathan Mellott and five great grandchildren Keyanna Simmons, Jett Fix, Cydni Mellott, Cree Phillips and Tripp Carbaugh. A visitation will be held on  Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. Funeral service will be held at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, PA, at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022  with Pastor Roger Truax and Pastor Mac Miller officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
