Elizabeth H. "Betty" Sipes

Elizabeth H. "Betty" Sipes, 80, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg,  PA. Betty was born in Todd Township, PA on December 6, 1933, the daughter of the late Eva Elizabeth (Robinson) and George Augusta Deshong.  She was the wife of Willis Leroy Sipes whom she married on December 26, 1951. Mrs. Sipes was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA and attended the Needmore Bible Church.  She was a homemaker and a beloved mommy and grandma. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Daughters Liz (wife of Bob) Gouak of Warfordsburg, PA, Fatha (wife of Ed)  Clark of Breezewood, PA, Sons Ronald (husband of Mary) Sipes of Greencastle, PA, Jeff Sipes of McConnellsburg, PA, Sisters Edna Kennedy of East Berlin, PA, Mary Lee Needy of Marion, PA, Brother George Deshong of Chambersburg, PA, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by sister Hannah Deshong and grandson Timmy Sipes. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 5th, 2014  with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 4th, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
