Edward A. Peffer, 83, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.
Edward was born in Robertsdale, PA on March 4, 1930, the son of the late William Elias and Rose (Julian) Peffer. He was the husband of Dolly A. (Ray) Peffer whom he married on March 30, 1974.
Mr. Peffer served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a Cpl in the Korean War, was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, PA, life member of the VFW Post #655 in McConnellsburg, PA where he also was a past commander, member of the American Legion Post #561 of McConnellsburg, PA, was a long distance trucker in his younger years, owned and operated Mountain View Hotel in Broad Top, PA from 1978 to 1994 and also worked for Dash Coal Company while operating the Hotel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Daughters Patricia J. Winchell of Millersville, PA, Paula E. Cook of Mercersburg, PA, Sisters Esther Rabenstein of Saxton, PA, Elanore Sheets of Arkansas, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Edwin Cover, sister Goldie, brothers William, Miles and Benjamen Peffer.
Religious Service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 with Pastor Neil Ray officiating.
Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
There will be visitation on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 12 P.M to 1 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, PA.
Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
