Edna P. (Sipes) Keebaugh

Edna P. Keebaugh, 92, of Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Center, McConnellsburg and formerly of Hustontown, PA, died Sunday, April 8th, 2012. Edna was born in Harrisonville, PA on October 16, 1919, the daughter of the late J.  Emory and Leona (Schooley) Sipes.  She was reared by Grant and Mary Baker from the age of 8.  She was the widow of Alfred C. Keebaugh, whom she married on April 8, 1936.  He prceded her in death on October 22, 1988.. She was a member of Knobsville Church of the Brethren McConnellsburg, PA .  She retired from Overly-Raker in McConnellsburg as a  seamstress after 12 years.  In her earlier years she worked for the Dublin Twp. school district for 11 years, and the Penn State Extention Service in McConnellsburg for 10 years.  Edna enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and music. She is survived by her daughter Deanna Bequeath of Saxonburg, PA, daughter Sharon (wife of John) Newbern of San Diego, CA, and son Jack (husband of Diane) Keebaugh of Martinsburg, PA.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son Timothy M. Keebaugh, her brothers Charles Sipes, Fred Sipes, Harold Sipes, James Tice, her sisters Margaret Glunt and Estalene Unger, an infant brother and 2 infant sisters. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA , at 12:00 PM  on Thursday, April 12th,  with Pastor Chris Elliott and Pastor Richard Bernhard officiating. Interment at Hustontown Cemetery, Hustontown, PA. There will be visitation on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellburg, PA.
