Edith B. Rhodes

Edith B. Rhodes, 74, of St. Thomas, PA passed away Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Edith was born in Needmore, PA on December 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Ruth (Winters) and Stanley  Mellott.  She was the widow of Walter "Sonny" Rhodes.

She was a member of the Green Hill Sewing Club in Harrisonville, PA, the Modern Woodmen of America and the Sideling Hill Sportsmen's Club.  Mrs. Rhodes had worked at Sagner's Sewing Factory in McConnellsburg, PA, the Ft. Loudon Sewing Factory and currently was a caregiver.

Edith is survived by daughter Yolanda Barnett, of Needmore, PA, sons Harty "Tink" (husband of Annette) Barnett, of Harrisonville, PA, Travis (husband of Lisa) Barnett, of St. Thomas, PA, sister Ruth Susie Bottenfield, of Needmore, PA, grandchildren Tamara Skiles, Caleb Barnett and Quintin Remsburg, great grandchildren Dakota, Destiny and Daya, great great grandchildren Haven, Alayah and Bentley.  Preceded in death by first husband Harty Barnett, daughter Carol Barnett, great grandson Dalton Skiles, brothers Dean, Ralph, and Marvin Mellott.

Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 18th, 2018.  Visitation will be one hour before the service on Thursday.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
