Edith O. (Decker) Garland

Edith O. Garland, 85, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away Monday, July 24th, at Pinnacle Health, Harrisburg, PA. Edith was born in Warfordsburg, PA on July 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Riley  and Pleasant (Waltz)  Decker. She was the widow of Breathed G. "Buddy" Garland, whom she married in 1950.  He preceded her in death on January 26, 2008. Edith was a homemaker and she enjoyed knitting.  She was a member of Faith Assembly of God,  Warfordsburg, PA . She is survived by a son Daryl G. Garland of Warfordsburg, PA and a daughter Karen O. Everly of Flinstone, MD.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Virgil and Herbert Decker, sisters Hazel Kinser, Violet Brown, Goldie Morris, Pearl Leonard and Dovey Decker. Funeral service will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc, McConnellsburg, PA, at 1:00 PM  on Friday, July 28th,  with Pastor Delmas Bard officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
