Earl V. Stains

Earl V. Stains, 92, a resident of the Fulton County Medical Center Extended Care Unit, McConnellsburg, PA and formerly of Harrisonville, PA passed away Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Earl was born in Maddensville, PA on October 15, 1920, the son of the late Harvey and Ruie (Brown) Stains.  He was the husband of Goldie C. (Wagner) Stains whom he married on November 27, 1948. Mr. Stains attended the Mt. Tabor Nazarene Church in Waterfall, PA and retired from the PA Turnpike Commission. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Sons Terry V. (husband of Patricia) Stains of Orbisonia, PA, Landis B. (husband of Virginia) Stains of Mercersburg, PA, Kevin B. (husband of Diane) Stains of Somerset, MA, Keith B. (husband of Lenore) Stains of McConnellsburg, PA, Kent B. (husband of Jill) Stains of Harrisonville, PA, Sister Verna Hoover of Chambersburg, PA, ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  Preceded in death by sisters Cleona Rohrer, Zelda Shaw, Myrtle Snyder, Violet Losh, Mildred Mellott, Alma Mellott, brothers Howard, Carl and Clarence Stains. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 1st, 2013  with Pastor Duane Williams officiating. Interment at Mt. Tabor  Nazerene Cemetery, Waterfall, PA. There will be visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2 to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
