Duane A. Williams

Duane A. Williams, 69, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at his residence. Duane was born on September 18, 1955, in McConnellsburg, PA. He was the son of the late Leroy P. and Carleton (Miller) Williams. He was the husband of Jeane A. (Ford) Williams, who he married on December 28, 1974. Duane worked at Grove Manufacturing for three years, Mack Trucking in Hagerstown, MD for ten years and finished his career working at JLG after twenty-nine years of service. He was a Pastor for many years. He started his ministering career at the Antietam Church of God in 1985. He later became the Pastor of Mount Tabor Church of the Nazarene, which he did faithfully for twenty-six years. He also taught Sunday school and Bible study at Laurel Ridge Christian Church. Duane loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know him as well. He also loved fishing with his sons and especially with his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, but most importantly mentoring his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his children; Ann C. (wife of Chad) Mullenix, of Falling Waters, WV, Adam P. (husband of Donna) Williams, of Needmore, PA, Luke L. (husband of April) Williams, of Warfordsburg, PA and Levi T. Williams, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, sister Rosalind (wife of Mike) Klinepeter, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, brother Larry (husband of Cindy) Williams, of Nappanee, IN and brother Keith Williams (Fiancé Melissa Mulhollen), of Big Cove Tannery, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Aaron Williams, Gavin Williams, Morgan Williams, Jude Mullenix and Lydia Williams. Funeral services will be held at Laurel Ridge Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery, PA at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 2, 2025, with Pastor Delmas Bard, Pastor Joe Myers and Pastor David Hamilton officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be at the Laurel Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, PA. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations in memory of Duane, may be made to Laurel Ridge Christian Church, to help the organization Operation Christmas Child Outreach of Samaritan's Purse.
