Duane L. Ramsey

Duane L. Ramsey, 68, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at his residence. Duane was born in Harrisonville, PA on February 7, 1948, the son of the late Lois A. (Sipes) and Delmar L. Ramsey.  He was the husband of Patti J. (Pittman) Ramsey whom he married on November 4, 1972. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Sgt in the Vietnam War, was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA and was a job supervisor at C. William Hetzer, Inc. in Hagerstown, MD for thirty years.  Duane was an avid outdoorsman who loved animals, nature and enjoyed hunting.  He also collected arrowheads and loved corvettes and classic chevy's.  Duane was a practical joker and enjoyed life to the fullest. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Todd D. Ramsey of Harrisburg, PA, daughter Tara J. Ramsey of Harrisburg, PA, sister Eileen F. Shoop of McConnellsburg, PA, brothers Sheldon J. (husband of Linda) Ramsey of Hustontown, PA and George R. Ramsey of McConnellsburg, PA. Preceded in death by brother Leo V. Ramsey. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29th, 2016 with Pastor Gail Kitchen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 28th, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
