Dorothy R. Miller, 86, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Magnolia's of Chambersburg, Chambersburg, PA.

Dorothy was born on September 17, 1939 in Laidig, PA. She was the daughter of the late H. Sharpe and Virgie M. (Rouzer) Mumma. She was the widow of Clair R. Miller, who she married on October 31, 1981. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2021.

Dorothy was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA and the Immanuel Baptist Church in The Villages, FL. She and her husband ran Clair Miller's Contracting, Fair View Estates, their rental properties and the True Value stores in McConnellsburg and Hustontown for many years. She enjoyed traveling all over the world and her favorite place was spending time in Florida.

She is survived by her step- children, Tracy A. (husband of Yvette) Miller, of Hustontown, PA, Terry R. (husband of Robin) Miller, of Needmore, PA and Troy M. (husband of Bonnie) Miller, of Hustontown, PA. She is also survived by her brother, John H. Mumma, of McConnellsburg, PA, three granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joan Mumma, Audrey Shotts, Benny Mumma, and Robert M. Mumma.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, with Pastor Dr. Michael Walker officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA.
