Dorothy L. Mellott

Dorothy L. Mellott, 97, of Needmore, PA passed away Friday, February 9th, 2024 at Bedford Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Bedford, PA. Dorothy was born in Bucyrus, OH on November 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Myrtle and George  Snavely. Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Needmore Bible Church in Needmore, PA and was a seamstress at the Sagner Sewing Factory in McConnellsburg, PA and at London Fog in Hancock, MD She is survived by son Ronald E. Hammond, of Berkeley Springs, WV, daughters Christine A. Barker, of McConnellsburg, PA, Vicky L. (wife of Jim) Norris, of Fairfield, PA, ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.   Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband David E. Mellott, son Randy D. Mellott, daughter Sharon A. Hendershot, two brothers and two sisters. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024  with Pastor Doug Poffenberger officiating.   At Dorothy's request, there will be no viewing. Interment  will be private at the Sideling Hill Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Needmore, PA.
