Donald L. Lake

Donald L. "Donnie" Lake, 79, of Needmore, PA passed away Sunday, September 19th, 2021 at UPMC Community Osteopathic, Harrisburg,  PA. Donnie was born in Needmore, PA on September 15, 1942, the son of the late Leona (Lake) Everts and step-son of the late Isaac Everts.  He was raised by his grandmother Maude Lake.  He was the husband of Marna K. (McQuade) Lake whom he married on November 5, 1960. Donnie was of the Christian faith, was the owner/operator of Napa Auto Parts in McConnellsburg, PA for over thirty years and also was an entrepreneur who tried various things throughout his life including the swine industry and mushrooms, which he enjoyed raising and selling them at farm markets or to different Co-Op's where they would distribute them. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and coon hunting.   Mr. Lake loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  He also loved helping others and offering a lending hand. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Brian (husband of Pam) Lake, of Needmore, PA, Rick L. (husband of Teresa) Lake, of Needmore, PA, daughter Lori K. (wife of Tim) Gordon, of McConnellsburg, PA, sisters Shirley (wife of Ross) Gordon, of Needmore, PA, Charlotte Hess, of St. Thomas, PA, Bonnie (wife of Randy) Miller, of St. Thomas, PA, brothers Harvey (husband of Shelby) Lake, of Florida, Ted (husband of Carol) Everts, of Chambersburg, PA, nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  Donnie was preceded in death by brother-in-law Alan Hess. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at at My Father's House Ministries, McConnellsburg, PA, at 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021  with Pastor Bill Chilcote officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
