Donald E. Daniels, Sr.

Donald E. Daniels, Sr., 94, of Needmore, PA, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Embassy of Woodland Park Nursing Home, Orbisonia, PA.

Donald was born in Coalmont, PA on November 6, 1929, a son of the late Virginia (Defibaugh) and Marshall  Daniels.  He was the widower of Audrey C. (Glee) Daniels, who he married in 1953.  She preceded him in death on April 17, 1996.

Donald proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA.  In his younger years, Donald worked at Grove Manufacturing in Greencastle, PA before leaving to work at JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, PA, at the request of John L. Grove.  Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and the time spent with his family.

He is survived by daughter Debbie L. (wife of Larry) Yelson, of Philadelphia, PA, son Donald E. (husband of Roberta) Daniels, Jr., of Needmore, PA, daughter Vickie Keebaugh, of Camp Hill, PA, son Greg Daniels, of Chambersburg, PA and daughter Lisa (wife of Tom) Rowan, of New York.  He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a grandson Mason Daniels and a great grandson Blake Hollinshead.

Funeral services will be held at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, with Pastor William Swope officiating.  There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Interment will be at Sideling Hill Christian Church Cemetery Needmore, PA.  Military honors will be provided by the Fulton Honor Guard.
