Donald R. Buterbaugh Sr.

Donald R. Buterbaugh Sr., 73, of Timber Ridge Rd. Big Cove Tannery, died Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Donald was born in McConnellsburg, PA on July 4, 1937, the son of the late Benjamin C. and Lucinda (Alexander) Buterbaugh.  He was the widower of Barbara E. (Sponsler) Buterbaugh, whom he married on July 15, 1958.  She preceded him in death on May 29, 2004. He was a member of Sideling Hill Christian Church Needmore, PA . He worked as an inspection mechanic for various garages for many years.  He was also a member of the NRA, the American Legion Post 561McConnellsburg, VFW Post 655 McConnellsburg, and he was an avid sportsman. Mr. Buterbaugh is survived by his daughter Mary L. Buterbaugh of McConnellsburg, PA, daughter Ethel M. Whittington of McConnellsburg, PA, son Don R. Buterbaugh Jr. of McConnellsburg, PA, son Danny   L.  Buterbaugh Sr. of Big Cove Tannery, PA, son Roy A. Cambell of York, PA, daughter Misty D. Shives of McConnellsburg, PA, brother Jack R.  Buterbaugh of Knobsville, PA, and sister Catherine DeShong of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Religious Service will be held  at Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM with one hour of visitation before the service at the church on Tuesday, June 28th,  with Rev. William Swope officiating. Interment at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery Needmore, PA. There will be visitation on Monday 2 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.   at Howard L.
