Dollie G. Keith

Dollie Glenna Mellott Keith of Chambersburg went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 5, 2025.

She was born in McConnellsburg, PA, on November 14, 1937, the daughter of the late John Foster Mellott and Luella Hann Mellott.

She graduated from McConnellsburg High School with the Class of 1957. She was a former resident of McConnellsburg and Hustontown, PA. and presently of Chambersburg, PA.

She is survived by two daughters; Cynthia Humbert and Joyce Ramirez. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Tammy O'Donnell, Amelia Crumlich, Martin and Miguel Salazar, nine great grandchildren and one brother; Preston Mellott. Proceeding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, George N. Keith, daughter Karen Louise Gress, five brothers; Stanley Mellott, Lee Foster Mellott, James (Jim) Mellott, Frank Edgar Mellott, Chalmer Maurice Mellott, two sisters Goldie Henry, Esta Pittman and one stepson Blaine F. Keith.

In early years, Dollie worked as a waitress, also worked at Martin's Pastry Shoppe in Chambersburg, as an assistant manager of a mini-market, and 20 plus years as a banker, including teller, senior teller and administrative assistant including Valley Bank, Orrstown Bank and Susquehanna Bank, retiring at age of 70. After retiring, she worked part time at various jobs for 3 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, church, old time tent meetings and hymn sings. She liked to bake, crochet and walking to enjoy all the beauty of nature, which God created. She was a member of the Open Door Church in Chambersburg, serving at times as a door greeter and a volunteer receptionist.

Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with Pastor Mike Sanders officiating. Burial will be made at Saltillo Cemetery, Three Springs, PA.
