Delores M. (Giffin) Peck

Delores M.  Peck, 72, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA. Delores was born in Bedford, PA on May 24, 1941, the daughter of the late John and Irene (Foor) Giffin.  She was the wife of Melvin C. Peck Sr., whom she married on November 21, 1964. She was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress at Pleasant Valley Restaurant McConnellsburg, PA for many years.  Delores loved spending time with her family.  She really enjoyed her taking pictures of her grandchildren and crocheting them afghans.  In her earlier years Delores liked to attend country music concerts. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons Melvin C. Peck Jr. of Mercersburg, PA, Greg A. Peck of Chambersburg, PA,  John A. Peck of McConnellsburg, PA, and brother Ronald Giffin of Breezewood, PA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death  by a brother Willard Giffin. Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA , at 11:00 AM  on Wednesday, October 2nd,  with Pastor Denver Plessinger officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA. There will be visitation on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2 PM to 8 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., 873 Lincoln Way East McConnellsburg, PA  17233.  There will also be visitation held one hour before the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
