Delano C. Mellott

Delano C. Mellott, 76, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, October 8th, at his residence.

Delano was born in Needmore, PA,  on December 20, 1945, a son of the late Freeda A. and Ferman C. Mellott.

Delano was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army.  He retired from Penn Dot.

He is survived by his daughters Deanna L. Scroggs, of Chambersburg, PA, Delane A. Balafoutas, of Chambersburg, PA, Lannette K. Feathers, of Mount Union, PA and brother Douglas R. Mellott, of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by four grandchildren Kayla A. Heck, Megan Mull, Ashley Caulfield, Krisha Feathers, eleven great grandchildren and his significant other Donna Pecsenye of Chambersburg, PA.  He was preceded in death by a grandson Cody M. Johnson.

Funeral services will be be held at the Sideling Hill Christian Church, Needmore, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14th,  with Pastor William Swope officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service at the church.  Interment at Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery Needmore, PA.

Military honors will be conducted by the Fulton Honor Guard.
