David R. Wright

David R. Wright, 72, of Needmore, PA passed away Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle, PA. David was born in Frostburg, MD on August 21, 1945, the son of the late Hazel (Emerick) and Leonard  Wright.  He was the widower of Carolyn  (Fogal) Wright whom he married on August 26, 1965 and she passed away on May 29, 1997. Mr. Wright attended the Needmore Bible Church in Needmore, PA, was a past Fulton County Treasurer, was on the Board of Directors for Valley Rural Electric and was a member of the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company.  He also was the owner/operator of Dave's Funnel Cakes for many years.  David enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren and was a friend to many. He is survived by daughters Brenda L. (wife of Jim) Leibundgut of Mechanicsburg, PA, Cindy L. (wife of Mark) Brooks of Pottsville, PA, brother Louis (husband of Pat) Wright of Needmore, PA, uncle Louis (husband of Eleanor) Emerick of Boonsboro, MD, grandchildren Hannah and Brett Somerville, Sarah and Ryan Brooks. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 from  4 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church. Religious Service at Needmore Bible Church, Needmore, PA at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11th, 2017  with Pastor Doug Poffenberger officiating. Interment at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
