David Robert Jarrell

David Robert Jarrell, 73, of Saxton, PA, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at his residence. Dave was born in Rochester, PA on July 25, 1949, a son of the late Catherine Jean (Lindley) and Charles Robert Jarrell.  He was the husband of Valerie Beth (Seippel) Jarrell, whom he married on September 4, 1970.

For more than twenty years, Dave worked as a tool and die maker in the Huntingdon and Mount Union areas, first at Elco Corporation, then at Bonney Forge, and finally FCI.  He loved to spend time with and was always ready and willing to help others.  Dave had a wide variety of hobbies; woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, Trap and Sporting Clays shooting, counted cross-stitch, and singing with the group God's Singer Boys and Family.  On November 10, 2004, following several years of declined health and waiting, Dave received a heart transplant that gave him the gift of life for nineteen years, to which he utilized that time to praise God and tell others of his gift as well as the gift of life through Jesus Christ.

In addition to his wife, Valerie, he is survived by his daughter Michele F. (wife of Jason) Conner, of Cassville, PA and brother Chris (husband of Dawn) Jarrell, of Boiling Springs, SC.  He is also survived by two grandsons Alexander D. and Zachariah J. Conner as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service  will be held at the Raystown Brethren Church, Saxton, PA, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 2, 2023 with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain officiating.  There will be a visitation held at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Raystown Brethren Church 129 Winterberry Lane Saxton, PA  16678.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
