David W. Anderson, 52, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

David was born on September 21, 1973 in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of Erma M. (Mellott) Anderson of Harrisonville, PA and the late Arthur "Andy" Anderson. He was the husband of Rayanna L. (Jones) Anderson, who he married on September 10, 2017. 

Anyone that knew Dave knew he loved to live life to the fullest. He loved to plan things- big things, loved a project, big or small. His biggest love was family though, and he spoiled his 'girls' in many ways. And then grandchildren came along and nobody compared to them. He couldn't get enough of them. Dave loved big family dinners and any occasion to celebrate. He loved to share experiences with people he loved. Dave's hobbies were varied over the years. Most recently he took up flying, but has always been a big fisherman and loved boating. He hunted as well. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and collecting guns. He called himself a redneck, we renamed him a techneck as most knew he loved technology and many called on him for help over the years. Daves generosity and kindness are possibly the traits that will be remembered the most by those that knew him. He had a huge heart and many were blessed by it. He will be desperately missed by family and friends.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughters, Ruthann (wife of Ramiro) Fernandez of Greencastle, PA, Grace (wife of Justin) Heim of Windsor, PA, Faith (wife of Shawn) Heim of New Freedom, PA, Anna Staley (fiancé of Timothy Shank) of Chambersburg, PA and Mercy Staley of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by his sister Deanna (wife of Mike) Wenschhof of Fairfield, PA, grandchildren; Joyanna, Jocelynn, Everly, Weston and one on the way, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Anderson and two infant sisters, Judy and Linda Anderson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11 AM at the Sideling Hill Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating. There will be one hour of visitation held prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at Sideling Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
