Dakota J. "Dj" Laman

Dakota J. "DJ" Laman, 24, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 in Frederick County, MD. DJ was born in McConnellsburg, PA on August 13, 1993, the son of Roxanne E. Rhodes of McConnellsburg, PA and Shawn E. Laman of Fannettsburg, PA. He was a member of the McConnellsburg High School Class of 2011 and worked at Sollenberger's Silos in Chambersburg, PA.  DJ enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, music and helping people.  He also loved being with his daughter. In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughter Rowan E. Laman of McConnellsburg, PA, maternal grandparents Leroy and Eva  Rhodes of McConnellsburg, PA, paternal grandfather Clarence R. Laman of Williamson, PA and a very close uncle Bradley Hockenberry of McConnellsburg, PA.  Preceded in death by paternal grandmother Patricia Preso and maternal great grandparents Wilson and Beulah Rhodes. Visitation will be Monday, February 19th, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 6:00 PM on Monday, February 19th, 2018  with Dale Sollenberger and Pastor Sam Sollenberger officiating.
