Cynthia M. Skiles

Cynthia M. Skiles, 76, of Saint Thomas, PA and formerly of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away Friday, January 22nd, 2021 at her residence.

Cynthia was born in McConnellsburg, PA on April 5, 1944, the daughter of the late Margaret (Gordon) and Charles  Rhodes.  She was the widow of Robert J. "Bob" Skiles.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2019.

She was a homemaker and did personal home care for the elderly.  Cynthia enjoyed going to yard sales, making crafts, and her daily coffee.  One of her greatest enjoyments was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by sons Larry (husband of Nora) Gantt, of Hustontown, PA,  Mike (husband of Trina)  Gantt, of St. Thomas, PA, step-daughter Susan (wife of Rick) Keefer, of McConnellsburg, PA; step-sons Robert J. (companion of Robin Dawley) Skiles, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA, Tony D. (husband of Tamara) Skiles, of McConnellsburg, PA, brother Dean (husband of Tammy) Rhodes, of Chambersburg, PA and sister Patricia Barnhart, of McConnellsburg, PA.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and sixteen step-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by step-son Michael Skiles, brothers Sonny, Don, Clifford and Norm Rhodes.

Graveside Service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.  Please follow CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.
