Cody A. Trail

Cody A. Trail, 20, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Friday, December 30th, 2016 at his residence after his courageous battle with cancer. Cody was born in Hagerstown, MD on August 8, 1996, the son of Jennifer D. (Trail) Hoover and David R. Hoover, III of McConnellsburg, PA and Brian and Becky Duvall of Needmore, PA. He graduated from McConnellsburg High School in 2014 and was attending Allegheny Community College.  Cody received the American Degree which is the highest degree for the FFA in 2015, helped with various projects at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in McConnellsburg, PA, enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, spending time at Cutchall's gas station and at Harry Johnston's farm.  He also loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by half-sisters Alexis Hoover of McConnellsburg, PA, Megan and Laurel Duvall of Needmore, PA, maternal grandparents Richard and Wanda Trail of Needmore, PA, grandparents Janice and the late David R. Hoover, II of McConnellsburg, PA, paternal grandparents Clair and Winifred Duvall of Crystal Springs, PA, great grandparents Norman and Geraldine Trail of Hancock, MD. Religious Service at St. Paul Lutheran Church, McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017  with Pastor Neil Ray officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 2nd, 2017 from 2 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
