Clair E. "Guinea" Lininger, Sr., 83, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at his residence.
Guinea was born on November 11, 1940, in McConnellsburg, PA. He was the son of the late Harry Lininger and Goldie (Strait) Souders. He was the husband of Jane L. (Hall) Lininger, who he married on November 9, 1974. Guinea retired from Mercersburg Printing. He had a love of old cars, he enjoyed attending car shows, spending time with his family at the Hall Campground in Burnt Cabins, but his favorite pastime was watching old westerns and Grit TV. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Clair E. (husband of Darlene) Lininger, of Needmore, PA, son Harold R. (husband of Dayna) Lininger, of Warfordsburg, PA, daughter Terry Lee (wife of Donnie) Truax, of McConnellsburg, PA, daughter Michele L. (wife of Mike) Hill, of McConnellsburg, PA, son Kenneth M. (husband of Brenda) DeShong, of Harrisonville, PA, and brother Gary Lininger, of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Billie Chesnut, grandson Matthew M. Hill and great-grandson Blake A. Hollinshead. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the American Legion Post 561, McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
