Christena M. Weller

Christena M. Weller, 72, of Needmore, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 16th, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, PA.

Christena was born in Knobsville, PA on January 30, 1949, a daughter of the late Esta (Everts) and George  Barton.  She was the wife of Preston C. Weller, whom she married on June 17, 1965.

Christena was a homemaker and also a member of the Cedar Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA.  She enjoyed teaching arts and crafts such as Macro Mae, knitting and crocheting.  She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Ralph P. (husband of Jacqui) Weller, ll, of Edenville, WA, daughter Marie (wife of Darby) Mellott, of Chambersburg, PA, brother Nelson (husband of Dotti) Barton, of Needmore, PA, sister Shirley Truax, of State College, PA, brother James (husband of Connie) Barton, of Warfordsburg, PA.  She is also survived by six grandchildren; Christopher  Deneen (companion of Tracy Poffenberger) of Hagerstown, MD, Brandon (husband of Kimberly) Weller of Las Vegas, NV, Rebecca Weller of San Diego, CA, Alec Weller of Edenville, WA, Jessie (husband of Ashley Wetzel) Mellott of Shippensburg, PA, Amora Mellott of Chambersburg, PA, seven great grandchildren Emma Deneen, Preston Samuel Weller, Joseph Weller, Brayden Stephenson, Owen Gardner, Skye Elias and Copeland Mellott.  She was preceded in death by two brothers Calvin and Timothy Barton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA with Pastor Tim Close officiating.
