Charles E. Truax, Jr.

Charles E. Truax, Jr., 73, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at Shippensburg Health Care Center, Shippensburg, PA. Charles was born in McConnellsburg, PA on March 31, 1938, the son of the late Charles E. and Ruth (Seville) Truax.  He was the husband of Mildred M. (Bishop) Truax whom he married on May 15, 1955. He was a truck driver in his earlier years for K.G. Richards in McConnellsburg, PA and then for Culler's Trucking in McConnellsburg, PA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by Son Charles E. Truax, III of McConnellsburg, PA, Daughters Betty L. O'hara of Palmetto, FL, Vicki L. Truax Woodson of Mercersburg, PA, Tonya L. Schetrompf of McConnellsburg, PA, Brothers Herbert "Lee" Truax of Hustontown, PA, John Truax of McConnellsburg, PA, Steven Truax of Hustontown, PA, Gary Truax of Hustontown, PA, Richard Truax of Hustontown, PA, Sisters Mildred Gelvin of Ft. Littleton, PA, Alma Hook of Nazareth, PA, Shirley Kohr of Hustontown, PA, Janet Barnett of Hustontown, PA, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Stella Marie Pittman. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 29th, 2012  with Pastor William Kuhn officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family. There will be visitation on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 from  2 to 8 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 P.M. at Howard L.
