Chad M. Gelvin

Chad M. Gelvin, 27, of Hustontown, PA passed away Friday, December 26th, 2014 in Ft. Littleton, PA as a result of an auto accident. Chad was born in Lewistown, PA on March 25, 1987, the son of Kathy J. (Woy) and Timothy K. Gelvin of Hustontown, PA. He was a 2005 graduate of Forbes Road High School, attended My Father's House Ministries in McConnellsburg, PA, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Harrisonville, PA and worked at JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, PA as a tester for the Ultra Boom line. Chad enjoyed hunting, fishing, all sports and even played on multiple adult basketball and softball leagues traveling to different states.  He also loved life and lived each day to the fullest. In addition to his parents, he is survived by Daughter Adasyn Raine Whitman of South Dakota, Son Alec-Skye Gelvin of South Dakota, Sisters Tracey L. (wife of Brandon) Fletcher of Harrisonville, PA, Shania L-A Gelvin of Hustontown, PA, Paternal grandparents Patsy and Rheon Gelvin of Hustontown, PA and Maternal grandmother Betty Woy of Shirleysburg, PA.  Preceded in death by maternal grandfather Veryl Woy, paternal great grandparents Edna and Vaughn Barnett and his uncle Mark Gelvin. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015  with Pastor Bill Chilcote and Pastor Deb Strait officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 2nd, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM.   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
