Cathy A. French

Cathy A. French, 64, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 at her residence after a hard fought battle with an aggressive cancer. Cathy was born in McConnellsburg, PA on August 24, 1957, the daughter of the late Madelene A. (Barnett) and Gilbert "Gib"  Ulsh. She had many career paths, one of which she was a CNA at Woodland Retirement Home in Orbisonia, PA. She also was a partner with her then husband of twenty-eight years Michael P. French, in which they operated C & M Medical Transport for sixteen years which was the first private ambulance service in Fulton County.  Cathy loved going to church and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cathy is survived by daughter Angela (French) Harper, of New Castle, PA, son Michael J. (husband of Bobbi Jo) French, of Robertsdale, PA, sister Judy (wife of Danny) Fester, of Hustontown, PA, brother Jeff (husband of Kay) Ulsh, of Hustontown, PA, grandchildren Aaron Harper, of Three Springs, PA, Amber Harper, of New Castle, PA, Seantelle (wife of Alex) Fry, of Robertsdale, PA, Garrett (husband of Horizan) Singer, of Everett, PA and three great grandchildren.  Cathy was preceded in death by son David W. French and two infant siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 5:00 PM on Monday, December 27th, 2021  with Pastor Deb Strait officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before the service.
