Catherine "Katie" A. Sipes

Catherine "Katie" A. Sipes, 77, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Saturday, June 6th, 2015 at UPMC, Altoona, PA. Katie was born in McConnellsburg, PA on April 2, 1938, the daughter of the late Mildred I. (Bard) and Norman W. Gress.  She was the widow of Harold McClellan "Mack" Sipes whom she married in 1959 and he passed away in 1993. Mrs. Sipes was a member of the Freedom Worship Center in Ft. Littleton, PA.  In her younger years, she worked at Stanley in Chambersburg, PA and then worked at BiLo in McConnellsburg, PA for a number of years. She is survived by Sons Rodney H. Sipes of Frederick, MD, Bryan E. Sipes of McConnellsburg, PA, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by brothers Don and Gerald Gress. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12th, 2015  with Pastor Kevin Wade officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 10 to 11 AM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
