Carla F. (Pittman) Helman, 76, of McConnellsburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Hillside Estates, McConnellsburg, surrounded by her family.

She was born in McConnellsburg, on July 11, 1947, daughter of the late Kenneth and Doris M. (Seville) Pittman.

Carla is survived by son Vincent J. husband of Tammy (Smyers) Helman, of Shippensburg; son Joseph A. Helman, of McConnellsburg; son Anthony M. husband of Amy Morton, of McConnellsburg; companion Dennis Hill, of Knobsville; grandchildren: Miranda, Keena, Levi; great-grandson Kenneth, sister Gail L. wife of Willis Decker, of Harrisonville, and her dog Zebson. She was preceded in death by son: Jonathan C. Helman, grandson Cody R. Helman; siblings: Patti J. Ramsey, and an infant brother.

She was a pianist and/or organist at the following churches; McConnellsburg St Paul's United Church of Christ, McConnellsburg United Methodist Church (where she was a member), Cito United Methodist Church and the Corner Church in Big Cove Tannery, at various times in her life, for over 55 years.  She worked at Sagner as a seamstress for several years, Waring as an assembler for 20 years, and McDonalds for 12 years.

In her spare time she had a love for gardening, she loved Dahlia's and Daisies, and she always planted a small vegetable garden.  She loved going for walks with her dogs Zeke (deceased) and Zebson.  She liked to listen and dance to R&B music.  She loved spending time with her family, having family dinners and cook-outs.

At Carla's request, a private visitation was held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, McConnellsburg.  Followed by a graveside service at Union Cemetery, with Dick Bernhard and Patty Hall officiating.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cito Methodist Church at a later date (to be determined).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Cito United Methodist Church, 3746 Cito Rd, McConnellsburg, PA 17233, and/or Corner Church, C/O Pastor Dick Bernard, PO Box 229, Needmore PA 17238.
