Carl E. Bain Sr.

Carl E. Bain Sr., 83, of  Mc Connellsburg, died Friday, November 19th, 2010 at the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, PA. Carl was born in McConnellsburg, PA on September 25, 1927, the son of the late John and Bessie (Seiders) Bain.  He was the husband of Huldah M. (Decker) Bain, whom he married on September 1, 1951. He was a member of the Cito United Methodist Church McConnellsburg, PA, the McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company and the Narrows Gun Club, Knobsville, PA.  He worked as a Salesman at Martin-Marietta Pinesburg, PA and also served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Carl enjoyed farming and hunting. In addition to his wife, surviving are his son Carl E. Bain Jr. of Chesterton,In., daughter Annette L. Williams of Berkley Springs,WV, son William H.  Bain of Reston, VA, brother Harry  Bain of Warfordsburg, PA, and sister Betty Lewis of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a son Gary L. Bain and 2 infant grandsons. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 23rd,  with Pastor John Godissart officiating. Interment at Union Cemetery McConnellsburg, PA. There will be visitation on Monday, November 22 from 2 PM to 8 PM with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.   at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation held one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Company 112 East Maple St McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
