Boyd C. Clevenger, 81, of Needmore, PA passed away Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at his residence.
Boyd was born in Needmore, PA on May 20, 1934, the son of the late Edna (Keebaugh) and Bruce Clevenger. He was the husband of Hazel A. (Palmer) Clevenger whom he married on May 10, 1971.
He was a member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company, was an EMT, member of the Quarter Century Club at JLG, was a retired boom welder from JLG Industries in McConnellsburg, PA after thirty-one years and also was a farmer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Son Roger W. (companion Sandy) Akers of Key West, FL, Daughters Ruth Ann (wife of Tim) Close of Berkley Springs, WV, Christine N. Akers of Needmore, PA, Brother Earl Clevenger of Needmore, PA, Grandchildren Melette (wife of Chris) Patterson of Chambersburg, PA, Aaron (husband of Jessica) Close of Berkley Springs, WV, Great Grandchildren Krista (wife of Dylan) Shives, Damon Gordon, Abigail, Caroline, Stella and Nathan Close. Preceded in death by sister Hazel Hess.
Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 28th, 2015 with Pastor William Swope officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 27th, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Interment at Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery, Needmore, PA.
