Bob L. Wright, Sr.

Bob L. Wright, Sr., 88, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 at his daughter's residence. Bob was born in Defiance, PA on February 1, 1933, the son of the late Kitty Pearl (Grove) and Harvey  Wright.  He was the widower of Charlotte J. "Joyce" (Sipes) Wright whom he married on June 6, 1956 and she passed away on October 1, 2021. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the Korean War and was a member of the Freedom Worship Center in Ft. Littleton, PA where he served as the head usher for many years.  Bob was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator.  He worked for H.J. Culler in McConnellsburg, PA and Ryder-Pie in Hagerstown, MD.  Bob was also a Licking Creek Township Supervisor for twelve years and a Constable for Licking Creek Township.  He also drove school bus for Central Fulton School District and also drove for the Area Agency on Aging.  Mr. Wright loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be missed greatly by his family. Bob is survived by sons Bobby L. (husband of Pam) Wright, Jr., of McConnellsburg, PA, Jeffrey A. (husband of Debra) Wright, of Ponca City, OK, Billy Joe (husband of Susan) Wright, of St. Cloud, FL, daughter Jennifer L. (wife of Kevin) Wade, of Ft. Littleton, PA, brothers Ferman J. Wright, Richard "Dick" (husband of Laura) Wright, of Chambersburg, PA, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Bob was preceded in death by sisters Rosalie Fansler, Nancy Zydrosky, Delphine Bussard and  brother James Wright. A visitation will be held on  Friday, January 28th, 2022 from 12PM-2 PM   at Freedom Worship Center, Ft. Littleton, PA. Funeral service will be held at Freedom Worship Center, Ft. Littleton, PA, at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 28th, 2022  with Pastor Kevin Wade officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Howard L.
