Billie George Cromwell, 78, of Needmore, PA, passed away Wednesday, September 16th, at his residence.

Billie was born in Needmore, PA on November 5, 1941, a son of the late Ethel R. (Mellott) and George D. Cromwell.  He was the husband of Mary L. (Barnhart) Cromwell, whom he married on October 9, 1961.

Billie worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission for thirty nine years before retiring in 2002.  He enjoyed working in his woodworking shop, building anything from small knick knacks to cabinets.  He also loved the outdoors, hunting, trapping and photography.  He always enjoyed hunting with a gun, till his love of photography led him to hunting with his camera.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Rebecca A. Torres, of Albuquerque, NM,  Kathy M. Cromwell, of Hagerstown, MD,  son Brian L. Cromwell, of McConnellsburg, PA, and brother-in-law William C. Burkett.  He was preceded in death by a sister Goldie "Dolly" Burkett.

Graveside services will be held at the Sideling HIll Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Needmore, PA at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 19th, with Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.  If attending, its encouraged to please bring a lawn chair.

Arrangements were made by the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
