Betty L. Truax

Betty L. Truax, 88, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at her residence. Betty was born on September 6, 1928 in Waynesboro, PA, the daughter of the late Roy and Grace V. (Yuacky) Gantz.  She was the widow of Earl B. Truax whom she married on November 6, 1946 and he passed away on June 9, 2007. Mrs. Truax was a member of the Rouzerville United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.  She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Betty is survived by son Earl E. (husband of Sally) Truax of Waynesboro, PA, sister Lorraine Schildt of Waynesboro, PA, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by sister Jean Waugman, brothers Raymond, Richard, Melvin, Arthur, Glenn and Roy Gantz. Graveside service will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Sideling Hill Christian Cemetery, Needmore, PA with Pastor Dan McClintock officiating.
