Betty Jane Leasure

Betty Jane Leasure, 91, of Warfordsburg, PA passed away Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at her residence. Betty was born in Crystal Springs, PA on December 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Percy C. Hixson and Mary Gladys (Jackson) Hixson. Mrs. Leasure attended the Buck Valley Christian Church in Warfordsburg, PA, was a waitress at Penn Hall in Chambersburg, PA, Town Hill Restaurant in Little Orleans, MD and at Motor Haven Restaurant in Warfordsburg, PA.  She also worked at London Fog in Hancock, MD, the Buck Valley Tomato Factory, cleaned houses and cleaned the Buck Valley Christian Church for over fifty years. She is survived by daughter Alinda M. (wife of Danny) Elbin of Artemas, PA, son Rocky (husband of Carol) Leasure of Everett, PA, grandchildren Byron Leasure, Steve (husband of Karen) Leasure, John (husband of Brandi) Leasure, Thomas (husband of Lyndora) Leasure, Tracy Leasure and Michele, Bryan (husband of Allison) Leasure, Kelly Leasure, Julia A. (wife of Orville, Jr.) Williams, Daren L. Elbin and Megan, fifteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by son Roger E. Leasure, four infant siblings and granddaughter Amy Ruth Elbin. Religious Service at Buck Valley Christian Church, Warfordsburg, PA at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 15th, 2017  with Pastor Scott Gibbs officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 14th, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Sunday at the church. Interment at Akersville Cemetery, Crystal Springs, PA.
