Betty R. Anderson

Betty R. Anderson, 82, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Greencastle, PA passed away Saturday, September 16th, 2017 at The Shook Home, Chambersburg, PA. Betty was born in Needmore, PA on January 28, 1935, the daughter of the late Goldie Blanch (Kelso) and George Daniel Mumma.  She was the widow of William R. Anderson, Sr. whom she married on May 9, 1953 and he passed away on May 12, 2015. Mrs. Anderson attended the First Assembly of God Church in Greencastle, PA and was a homemaker. She is survived by son William R. (husband of Carol E.) Anderson, Jr. of Greencastle, PA, daughter Doris J. (wife of Harold T.) Loftis of Greensboro, NC, brother Ivan K. Mumma of McConnellsburg, PA, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by daughter Debra R. Clites, two sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19th, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.  There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017  with Pastor Gregory Sinclair officiating.
