Bertha M. Covert

Bertha M. Covert, 90, of Shade Gap, PA, passed away Sunday, July 8th, 2018, at her residence.

Bertha was born in Fannett Twp., Franklin County, PA on October 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Edith (Fortney) and Emory  Clouser.  She was the wife of Melvin D. "Bill" Covert, whom she married on June 28, 1948.

She was a member of Fair Ridge Assembly of God in Shade Gap, PA .  She worked at Sagner in McConnellsburg, PA  before working at Empire Kosher in Mifflintown, PA.  Bertha and her husband Bill enjoyed making crafts and selling them at local flea markets and craft shows.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Darlene L. (wife of Craig) Dickinson, of Shade Gap, PA; sons Chester M. (husband of Beverly) Covert, of St. Thomas, PA; Rick L. (husband of Brenda) Covert, of Willow Hill, PA and Kevin D. (wife of Kathryn) Covert, of Shade Gap, PA.  She is also survived by sisters Sarah Overcash, of Chambersburg, PA; Hazel (wife of Donnie) Burge, of Cross Keys, PA; brother Jim  Clouser, of East Waterford, PA; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister Pearl Paige and brothers Emory "Sonny", Paul, John and Russell Clouser.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, July 12th, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. at Fair Ridge Assembly of God, Shade Gap, PA.

Funeral services will be held at Fair Ridge Assembly of God, 22776 Piper Lane Shade Gap, PA, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 12th, 2018 with Pastor Richard Harter officiating.

Interment at Fair Ridge Assembly of God Cemetery Shade Gap, PA.
