Almeda G. Schooley, 78, of Mercersburg, PA passed away Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Almeda was born in Three Springs, PA on July 14, 1936, the daughter of the late Viola (Miller) and Norman Hoffman. She was the wife of Dale L. Schooley whom she married on September 8, 1957.
Mrs. Schooley was a member of the American Legion in Mercersburg, PA, the Moose in Mercersburg, PA, worked at Sagner Sewing Factory in McConnellsburg, PA, Waring in McConnellsburg, PA and at McCoys in Mercersburg, PA. Almeda was a jokester and loved making people laugh.

(wife of Chuck) Baker of Greencastle, PA, Sisters Mae Marveline Marlin of Three Springs, PA, Martha Curffman of Three Springs, PA, Connie Shives of McConnellsburg, PA, Maxine Newman of Waterfall, PA, Brothers Evan, Willis, Randy and Ronnie Hoffman all of McConnellsburg, PA, Max Hoffman of Three Springs, PA, Grandchildren Jeremiah Truax, Danielle McGarvey Wagner, Stephanie Truax, Briar Rose Dalton and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister Mary Golden, brothers Carl and Donnie Hoffman.
Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 12th, 2014 with Pastor Betty Secrest officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11th, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
