Alma L. Mellott

Alma L. Mellott, 80, of Mc Connellsburg, PA passed away Sunday, November 21st, 2010 at her residence. Alma was born in Huntingdon, PA on October 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Harvey and Ruie Ethel (Brown) Stains.  She was the widow of Robert Lee Mellott whom she married on August 2, 1947 and he passed away on April 19, 1998. Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, McConnellsburg, PA , had worked at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg, PA and also was a homemaker. She is survived by Daughters Doreen (wife of John, Sr.) Smith of Berkeley Springs, WV, Diane (wife of Edgar) Dunn of San Antonia, TX, Sons Gale (husband of Carol) Mellott, Sr. of McConnellsburg, PA, Lindsay A. (husband of Meredith Viola) Mellott, Sr. of McConnellsburg, PA, Duane N. (husband of Aua) Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, Barry A. Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, Ronald Mellott, Sr. of McConnellsburg, PA, Edwin Mellott of Laurel, MD, Sister Verna Hoover of Chambersburg, PA, Brother Earl Stains of Harrisonville, PA, Sister-in-law Gladys Coble of Greencastle, PA, Grandchildren Gale Mellott, Jr., Bonnie McCusker, Sheila Brindle, Marcie Mellott, Lindsay Mellott, Jr., Michael Mellott, John Smith, Jr., Donald Smith, Stacey Stem, Ronald Mellott, Jr., Amanda Lethcoe, Jared Mellott, Jessica Dunn, Matthew Dunn, Derrick Dunn, step-granddaughter Chonthicha Somabuth and seventeen great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers. Religious Service at Calvary Independent Baptist Church, McConnellsburg, PA, at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 24th, 2010  with Pastor John Hodge officiating. Interment at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA. There will be visitation on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L.
