Allen M. "Cap" Souders

Allen M. "Cap" Souders, 74, of McConnellsburg, PA passed away Thursday, April 21st, 2011 at Harrisburg General Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Allen was born in McConnellsburg, PA on August 23, 1936, the son of the late Alvey and Pauline (Carbaugh) Souders.  He was the husband of Dora Jane (Harris) Souders whom he married on August 6, 1960. Mr. Souders served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, was of the methodist faith and was a retired mechanic from Schneider National Trucking in Carlisle, PA In addition to his wife, he is survived by Sons Jeff Souders of Waynesboro, PA, Brian Souders of McConnellsburg, PA, Daughter Amy Brunner of Walkersville, MD, Brother Dale Souders of McConnellsburg, PA, Sisters Nancy Elsavage of Harrisburg, PA, June Hammond of Chambersburg, PA, Sandy Stuart of Bedford, PA, Grandchildren Dylan Souders, Reva Souders and Christopher Brunner. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be visitation on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
