Thomas E. Ritchey

Thomas E. Ritchey, 62, of Hustontown, PA passed away Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona, Altoona, PA.

     Tom was born in McConnellsburg, PA on July 13, 1955, the son of the late Lula (Starr) and Alton  Ritchey.  He was the husband of Doris  (Shotts) Ritchey whom he married on April 26, 1975.

     He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Harrisonville, PA and was a truck driver for ABBA Transport in Chambersburg, PA.  Tom also was a mechanic and a lifelong farmer.  He was a jack of all trades who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Joe  Ritchey of Hustontown, PA, Michael (husband of Misty) Ritchey of McConnellsburg, PA, Jeffrey (husband of Joy) Ritchey of McConnellsburg, PA, Timothy (husband of Laura) Ritchey of Shippensburg, PA, sisters Carol Mellott of McConnellsburg, PA, Melinda Hege of Mercersburg, PA, brother Andy Ritchey of McConnellsburg, PA, and thirteen grandchildren.

     Visitation will be Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM   at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

     Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 2nd, 2017  with Pastor Donald Bard officiating.

     Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs.
