Louise S. Mannetti, 89, of Orbisonia, PA and originally from Licking Creek Twp. passed away Thursday, August 29th, at Aristacare in Woodlands, Orbisonia, PA.
Louise was born in Andover, PA on August 27, 1930, a daughter of the late Addie Mae (Baker) and Alvin S. Strait. She was the widow of John J. Mannetti, whom she married on June 4, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2001.
Louise was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church McConnellsburg, PA . Louise always greeted people with a warm and gleaming smile; she loved people and was loved and cherished by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son John J. Mannetti, Jr. of Glendale, CA, sister-in-law Edna Strait of Harrisonville, PA, five grandchildren: Frank, Patricia and Cristina all of Pittsburgh, PA, Nesha Merlet of San Diego, CA, Cade Linden Mannetti of Frisco, TX and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her very special nieces and nephews Joyce Garland, Barbara DeCisio, Tom Strait, Alvin Strait, Linda Hoover, Judy Eisaman, Gerry Strait, Shirley Barclay and Harry Myers. She was preceded in death by son Frank S. Mannetti, sisters Alice Myers, Mary Kell, brothers Arlie "Hump" Strait, Arthur "Dugans" Strait, Grover "Tuck" Strait and Bobby Strait.
There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 with Father Derek Fairman officiating. There will also be an hour of visitation held prior to the serivce at the funeral home on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Louise to the American Cancer Society 1004 N. Juniata St. Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or Alzheimer's Association 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
Interment will be at Siloam United Methodist Cemetery Harrisonville, PA.
