She married John Hockensmith in 1941.John and Juanita lived on a farm in the Carlisle area for over 30 years before retiring to Fulton County in 1979. She and John had 6 children, Michael P. Juanita was well known for her hospitality and generosity. And her pies! She learned the art of pie baking at the age of 18 and everyone she ever knew reaped the benefits! She also enjoyed sewing. Many people had the privilege of wearing garments she made. She also created numerous quilts...for children and grandchildren.
Juanita was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 70 years. One of her greatest pleasures was talking to others about the Bible. Over the years she had the privilege of teaching many people about the Bible. She wanted everyone to share the hope she cherished of everlasting life on a paradise earth as the Bible promises. We will miss her!
A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
