Helen B. Hann, 81, of Big Cove Tannery, PA passed away Thursday, June 28th, 2018 at Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care, McConnellsburg, PA.
Helen was born in Webster Mills, PA on May 18, 1937, the daughter of the late Eureka A. (Strait) and Ira W. Bain. She was the wife of Blair E. Hann whom she married on September 7, 1957.
Mrs. Hann was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Big Cove Tannery, PA and also was a Girl Scout leader. She had worked at G.C. Murpheys, Sagner Sewing Factory, J. Schoeneman, London Fog, was a telephone operator and retired from the Business Office at the Fulton County Medical Center. Helen enjoyed making head bands for the hearing impaired, quilting, sewing, cross stitching and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters Eugenia L. (wife of Darryl) Kipe, of McConnellsburg, PA, Via E. (wife of Michael A.) Shaw, of Needmore, PA, Robin L. (wife of Michael) Hoffman, of Big Cove Tannery, PA, sisters Edna (wife of John) DeMint, of Clarksburg, MD, Sara Kay (wife of Michael) Helman, of Burnt Cabins, PA, brother George Bain, of McConnellsburg, PA, son-in-law Johnny E. Adams, of Chaneysville, PA, grandchildren Beth Ann (wife of Bobby) Lynn, Cala (wife of Travis) High, Christopher (husband of Anje) Hoffman, Lasha (wife of Mitchell) Thompson, Jeneice (wife of Nathan) Shaw-Wuertenberg, Andrew (husband of Serena) Shaw, great grandchildren Benjamin, Isaac and Eva High, Annabelle and Lorelei Hoffman, Alexis and Layla Shaw. Preceded in death by daughter Doris E. Adams, brother Ira B. (Jim) Bain, sisters Mary Jane Slee, Louise Nancy Hoffman and Joann Keith.
Religious Service at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 1st, 2018 with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, PA.
