Blaine Morton Obituary
Blaine O. Morton, 74, of Big Cove Tannery, PA passed away Sunday, March 18th, 2018 at his residence.
Blaine was born in Needmore, PA on January 11, 1944, the son of the late Beatrice (Daniels) and Harold Morton. He was the husband of Carolyn J. (Comerer) Morton whom he married on March 28, 1964.
Mr. Morton was a member of the Damascus Christian Church in Big Cove Tannery, PA and attended the Hancock Assembly of God Church.
Blaine was an orderly and a certified nursing assistant at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA and also at various nursing facilities. He loved country music, old cars, telling jokes, taking care of people and doing in-home care. Blaine also was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Kevin B. (husband of Deborah) Morton of Big Cove Tannery, PA, daughter Kristi D. (wife of Andy) Mellott of Needmore, PA, sister Audrea Miller of Needmore, PA, grandson Justin (girlfriend Kendall Broadwater) Mellott, step-grandsons Jamie (husband of Stefany) Morris, Jeremy (husband of Stacy) Morris, step-great grandchildren Levi, Garrett, Emily, Katherine, Brody and Mckenzie Morris.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA. There will also be visitation one hour before the service on Friday at the church.
Religious Service at Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Hancock, MD 21750 at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 with Pastor William Swope, Pastor Donald Preston and Pastor Dick Bernhard officiating.
Interment at Damascus Christian Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, PA.
