H. SuzAnne Hockensmith

     H. SuzAnne Hockensmith, 76, of Wells Tannery, PA, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her residence. 

     SuzAnne was born in Bedford, PA on June 15, 1947, a daughter of the late Dolores R. (Sprowl) and Ray E. Koontz.  She was the wife of Gary  L. Hockensmith, who she married on July 28, 1965.

     SuzAnne worked many years at the First National Bank in McConnellsburg, PA as a loan officer.  She was a member of the Sideling Hill Christian Church in Needmore, PA and the Quilt Club in McConnellsburg, PA.  

     SuzAnne greatly enjoyed the simple things in life and always found ways to keep busy.  She found happiness in quilting, crafting, cooking and most of all spending time with her loved ones.  She will be remembered for her loving, selfless heart  and kind demeanor, her love of Jesus and her unwavering faith.

     In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Robbey L. (companion of Fawn Eutzy) Hockensmith, of Wells Tannery, PA and her granddaughter Mikaila L. Hockensmith (wife of Seth Sprague) of Harrisonville, PA.  She was  preceded in death by a sister Linda Lou Koontz

     There will be a visitation held on Thursday, April 4th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA.

     Funeral services will be held at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, PA, at 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 4th,  with Pastor Bill Swope and Pastor Sharon Riley officiating. 

     Interment will be at the Wells Valley Presbyterian Cemetery Wells Tannery, PA. 

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
